I'm Lucy

Wedding photographer based in the South West of England

Since a young age I have always been drawn to beautiful imagery.
I spent countless hours growing up creating scrapbooks using cuttings from wedding magazines and filling endless Pinterest boards full of photographs.
But what always caught my attention were the photographs my grandparents kept on the top of their piano. Photographs of their parents and those before them on their wedding days. Generations worth of moments. Like a treasure trove of memories.
There is something so wonderful about capturing the feeling of a place or a memory so that we can feel them all over again.

A few facts

My favourite season is spring when all the wildflowers start popping up.
If I won the lottery I would buy some land and start growing flowers to make seasonal bouquets (yes I will definitely be getting excited about your bouquet!).
My favourite place is anywhere by the sea so when I'm not photographing a wedding you can find me walking coastlines, swimming in the sea (only in the summer though!) or reading on the beach.
If there's a burger on the menu, I'm ordering it.
I love mountain walking.
Cornwall and Devon are some of my favourite spots in the UK. Any excuse for an adventure and I'm there!
I love a good dance floor and I will happily stay on it all night!
What is it like having me as your photographer?

Ready for the day you've been excited for so long for?
But wondering what it will feel like to have your photographer there?
Something slightly controversial is that I hate being in front of a camera. If you feel the same way, we definitely have that in common! I therefore make it my mission to make sure you feel as comfortable, relaxed and care-free as you possibly can throughout your day when the camera is involved.
But most importantly, you want to live your wedding day. Being present is incredibly precious. The last thing I want is for the camera to ruin that or for your wedding day to become a photoshoot.
So if you also feel wildly uncomfortable in front of a camera, I'm here to guide you.
Some of the photographs I take can be guided by myself if you would like this. If you are someone who doesn't feel particularly comfortable in front of a camera, some prompts to guide you can be really valuable in helping you feel at ease and capturing those beautiful photographs of you and your other half together you've always hoped to have.
In every gallery, the most precious moments are the ones you didn't notice, but that I was waiting for. The little moments of connection that weave you, your other half, your families and friends together. These are the photographs in your gallery that are truly packed with feeling.
I therefore take a little bit of both approach. A little bit of documentary style photography to capture those tiny, intimate moments by blending into the background. And a little bit of guidance to make sure we capture the photographs you've always dreamed about having.
